The usb ports no longer recognize devices I plug into them. I had a record player that worked fine, then not. My usb headset is recognized for input but not for playback. I have the latest drivers installed. This MB sits in a Velocity Z-40 PC. The tech is at a loss for what the problem may be.

Try deleting all USB ports in Control Panel's Device Manager, and let Windows re-detect the ports (requires a reboot). That might solve the problem.

Unfortunately, this site nor Velocity has resolved this concern. The USB ports in question work for some devices, but not others. I have employed a work-around for now.

The pc manufacturer has stated that they will build a new pc for me. This case is closed!
