Question Asus Prime Z690 bios update malware?

I was looking to update my PRIME Z690-P Wifi D4 motherboard BIOS from version 1203 to the latest 3601, however, NordVPN flagged the file as malware...I recall reading about different manufacturers getting hacked years ago and having their update files tampered with. Is this still the case? The link below is where I was trying to download the update from. It appears legit..

If you downloaded directly from Asus, it is very likely a false positive. Try downloading without the VPN and scan the file for peace of mind.

Strange, from your link

TBH I'd be surprised if NordVPN virus scan could parse UEFI firmware let alone read EFI files. Perhaps it's just checking the BIOSRenamer.exe file?
