Maximus IV? Shouldn't it be Maximus VI? Or are Asus complicating their naming scheme even further...

Personal taste is what it is - I prefer the gold/beige look, as the blue stands out more, looks very "plasticky", and is harder to match to other components. I mean, when is the last time you saw a video card with that kind of blue on it? At least the gold won't clash by being a different shade off version of blue, even if you can't find "gold" peripherals, and will go fine with anything black.
