Hi!

I currently have a ryzen 5 3600 and got a 5800x3d so I obviously need to update my BIOS to the latest version (Current version is 5220). I've read on reddit threads that directly updating to the latest BIOS might cause problems so I would need to download each individual update released after my current version. This seems redundant, could I simply install the latest one? Suppose I update my mb successfully, would my ryzen 5 3600 still work? Should I update the drivers before the BIOS? I also read that the latest BIOS 6210 seems to have issues, could I install the version right before (6202)? I've never done this before so I'm a bit lost and any guidance would be very appreciated :)

Just to make sure I have the correct links:
Drivers Chipset: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/prime x470-pro/helpdesk_download/
BIOS: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/prime x470-pro/helpdesk_bios/

Found this vid going through my old posts, could I still follow the same steps?

Yes, you can install the latest version without issues, unless it specifically states in the BIOS update page to update to a previous version before updating to that version. In which case, you'll have to update to that recommended version first and then update to the latest. -- it would be absolutely silly to go with +1 incrementals for BIOS updates, that would take a lot of time, and it pointless, lol.

Suppose I update my mb successfully, would my ryzen 5 3600 still work?
Yep, it does. Installing the latest BIOS means, not only are you getting support for the latest CPUs, but also will retain support for all the previous CPU versions as well.
Should I update the drivers before the BIOS?
I'd say update them beforehand, but i see no issue updating them after, although doing it before might be the better option.

I also read that the latest BIOS 6210 seems to have issues, could I install the version right before (6202)?
Yes you can, but where exactly did you read that?
"issues" may not be that serious after all.
Just a small bug is also technically an issue, but nothing that breaks major functionality.
