Asus Z170-A: Samsung PCI-e SSD 950Pro as boot drive?

I was told that Samsung PCI-e SSD 950Pro may or may not function as boot drive. If somebody tried it with Asus Z170-A motherboard, please, share your issue. I'm going to buy one. Thanks.

It can be used as a boot drive but you have to configure the BIOS first to make it work.
Definitely not as straightforward as booting from a regular SATA-connected drive.

Not exactly same mobo model but it is a Z170 chipset.

i don't have one but I would wait until there is a bios that supports them better as looking at what Z170-k owners have to do to get it working, its not worth the hassle yet
