The lights work, the fans work, just installed my i5-6700k Kaby lake CPU.
But the bios is not showing up, it's not booting and the USB ports aren't working. This is my first time installing a motherboard so I may have done something wrong but I can't figure out what. The manual makes a little sense to me but I still don't quite understand it.
Here is the pics of what I have put together http://m.imgur.com/a/O8koD

By the way. Here is the video that i took that only thr motherboard light is working..

I think bios here is not a problem. Z270 supports 7600k. I think i got something in the wiring problem. Or i dont know. Psu or casing wiring to mobo problem.

unplug all connectors of the front panel
put in just the reset button to the two power on Pins (if the power button has a problem, this will fix it for now)

the RAM is in which slots? 2nd and 4th from left to right or 1st and 3rd? try one at a time in all slots.

8 pin ATX12V power connector plugged in near the CPU on top left?

cpu socket pins bent on the motherboard?

I removed all connected wires to mobo... Inserted the 24 and 8 pin to motherboard and system panel.. Hope it works... Regarding ram its on 2nd and 4th from left. I removed the other one so the remaining is on 2nd slot.

Cpu socket i didnt check. I put the processor once and close it.

My prime boots just fine with one Kingston 16GB dimm installed, but fails to boot with two dimms, only cpu and dram leds flashing. The system actually worked fine earlier with two dimms and 32GB of total ram and with 0505 bios, but when I upgraded the bios to 0801 the problems started. I have already taken my PC to repair service twice, and this is already a second motherboard and second PSU. I guess the next step will be choosing a motherboard from another manufacturer. I'm using Intel Core I7-7700K processor

This actually helped a little. I'm finally able to start the computer with two dimms and 32GB of ram. The system is highly unstable though. Switching XMP on or changing any ram settings from bios leads to flashing cpu and dram lights and boot failure. Clearing bios always recovers the system though. My cpu cooler is Scythe Fuma, I'm using just one cpu fan.

I also got a call from Asus customer service. Surprisingly they recommended G.SKILL instead of Kingston. They also stated that if the system works with bios 0505 there is no need to upgrade bios. There is no way to downgrade though :)

My RAM is 2 x KINGSTON HYPERX 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 (HX424C15FBK2).
I ran the memtest86+ succesfully for 17 hours, and got 5 passes with zero errors, for some reason the ram was interpreted as DDR3 in memtest screen. A game I'm playing crashes every 1.5 hours or so, so it seems there might be some problems.

Embarrassingly after believing that the none booting BIOS problem with my ASUS Z170 Pro was related to incompatible BIOS between my Kaby Lake 7600K and the former board, I bought a Z270 and found to my dismay the same problem, launching into a process of illumination I finally realised that I had omitted to plug a power connector from my modular power supply to the 12v EATX connector on the top left hand corner of the board. Sounds obvious and it was, compare a non modular supply on an older machine and I guess you will see what I mean.

Same problem here, Prime Z270-A with i7-7700K- 0505 BIOS. Not even getting any post state LED's lighting up - this really sucks.
Can't get in touch with ASUS as they have a 48 hour email reply and their webiste just redirects you back to the site then hangs up.

Which power supply is it?
do the fans spin up?
8pin atx12V power plug connected?
CPU socket Pins of the motherboard bent?
a short between case and motherboard?
RAM in the correct slots? check with one in all slots

minimum config done? just cpu with cooler, motherboard, power supply, one RAM
unplug power button and plug in reset button instead
