i just got an ATA\100 hard drive as a gift for my upcoming upgrade. i was thinking of an asus MB CUSL 2. Does it support ATA\100..???...If it doesn't...are there any add-ons that can help???

Yep, it supports ATA-100. Basically all of the newer boards do.

If you have a separate video card, get the CUSL2-C (without onboard video).

Yes, and you should get the CUSL2-C because it's cheaper and doesn't have the onboard video connector.
