It is 17 February, hour after the announcement and I HAVE to install 10.1 to work. Nice. I guess they are still sleeping in AMD's headquarters. I hope they have some coffee ready because Feb 18 is close.

This is exciting but we have all heard this song and dance before. I have 2 5770's in CrossfireX and I didn't update to 10.1 because people who did still had all the same issues....various crashes in games for no reason (im talking about solid PC's here that have completed all types of stress tests), hiccups, 2D issues, Crossfire performance, issues, etc.
ATi needs a more stable CCC suite without all the hiccups and driver install issues. I am sure they blame users for these small hiccups but as an IT certified tech I can tell you its not all on our end ATi.

Keep working and letting us, the consumer, know you are trying to make things better and we will support you.

Installed these last night after completely removing my 9.12's, running driver cleaner pro etc.
With the 10.2's everything worked ok but I could not restart my PC with CrossfireX enabled. Put back on the 9.12's and everything works fine.

Maybe next time ATi.

No fix for the flickering second monitor when using an overclocked HD5000 series card?

While two monitors are hooked up, if I overclock the gpu or ram even by 1mhz, it goes on an insane flickering spree. And it's not the card or the monitor or the DVI-VGA converter, as I tested a second 5850, second monitor, and second DVI-VGA converter. It's a driver issue involving the 2d clocks of the card when a second monitor is plugged in.

I am running 5760 x 1200 on three Dell 2408's.... on 2 ATI 4870's.... The driver updates are nice, but I still have not seen the non existent 5xxx series cards with 6 display port connections....

This is kinda pointless with the cards on the market now.

Wow, an actual release driver for my video card only ONE MONTH after they released the card! Gee, thanks!

Hopefully it will actually work, not pretend to install, support bitstreaming, not have the silent stream bug, not have the EDID bug, etc.

I actually think that ATi should try and make their linux drivers better,
with some of my recent builds forcing me to run windows since the linux drivers refused to work with my HD5670
