ATI Radeon HD 5870 is on sale right now for merely $140. From the small research I did, this card was $410 when it was first released sometime between 2008 and 2009. I had my eyes set on GTX 560 Ti but if this card is a good replacement for it, I'm willing to be flexible.

How would this card perform compared to the 560 Ti?

Is this card good for going Crossfire?

Is 650W enough to power one of 5870? How much would be needed to power it at a Crossfire?

Do you recommend purchasing this card for a i5 2500k build?

Would I be able to run recently released games in Ultimate settings with one 5870 card?

I read from somewhere that the cards will start going on sales soon. Is this just the tip of the ice burg? Should I wait for better deals to come around?

dear user if you have in sufficient money to spend on the gtx 560ti then go for it well one thing u should be remember go gtx 560 ti 448 version is quite but costly some how from gtx 560 ti normal version i recommended you to go for
gtx 560 ti 448 version for good gaming experience with 2 sli 448 cuda cores more performance easy to cross firing
its equal to the 6970 performance which much better than 560 ti 448 version try this newegg gtx 560 ti 448 version god bless you

5870>560ti especially at that price, sure its a little dated but its still a monster. 5870 crossfire is good 2, it didn't scale that well in the beginning but its improved a lot with new drivers and all, i currently crossfire 5870's and have 0 issues what so ever. i strongly recommend the 5870, a single at even $200 is a great deal. your getting a steal, you'll be more then satisfied. and that power supply will be fine for 1, crossfire id say your pushing it. and on ultra in bf3 i get over 100 fps in my crossfire setup on 1 monitor at 1920x1080. as far as single GPU cards go the 5870 is amazing still in the top 5. other then gtx 580 and 6970 its on par with anything
