ATNG PS-300S Power Supply

Hi My PC has been shutting off just as its about to start up windows. I was wondering if its my power supply. All my fans are working. If it is my power supply the one it has installed now is ATNG PS-300S 300W Power Supply Part NoS0-PG-00300XP4

If its my power supply what would be a good replacement?

could be your power supply, but you must check why it is doing so, what is your system specs? have you asked yourself why the psu is failing? maybe 300W is not enough for your current system, those psus you have in your price range are really generic and unless you have a computer that uses very low power they will not be of much help.

so please give us your Computer Specs

The PC is very basic. I only use it to browse the web. Its very old It was built around 2005 maybe and never really had any problems until now. Yesterday I was able to load windows and browse for a hour before it would cut off on me. Today it cuts off when windows loads. The Fan on the power supply still works.. i dunno if that helps any.

2Gig Ram
Motherboard Gigabyte 478 pin
Intel Celeron 2.4GHz Processor
Video Card is 128 MB Radoen 9200
It has 2 hard drives. a 40 gig and a 80 gig

It has XP pro as a OS

Active PFC psus are much more reliable and they are much more resistant to energy variations and other problems.

but if cash is really the problem i think you can go with this one i think...
