Hi,

I am thinking about purchasing a Netscreen 5GTe, but am concerned about the
4000-session limit. I have 50 users, each of which will have approx 3 IE
windows open at any one time. This makes 150 web-browsing connections, but
does this translate as 150 sessions? The websites are nothing fancy, mainly
text-based with occasional images.

Thanks,
df

I am in almost the same situation user wise, and I have a NS25. I uus MRTG
to track the number of sessions at 5 min intervals.
Looking at the last month graph, during the day it maybe hits in the 250
session range. Peaking up to 600 a few times.

I would say that product would be ample for your needs, unless you have a
very busy web server behind it. That will really eat up the sessions.

The NS products also have some options on session aging that you can set if
you are running into difficulties.
