[SOLVED] B450 Motherboard and Daisy Chain 4 monitors?

Hey Everyone,

INTRO:
I was thinking of building a 4 monitor PC with onboard graphics and NO dedicated graphics card. Maybe even in a small form factor case (https://www.newegg.ca/p/N82E16811108485).
Therefore, looking at mini ITX boards with DisplayPort...
DisplayPort supports daisy-chaining monitors from version 1.2, however, there are limitations for resolution, refresh rate and the amount of displays.
Multi-Stream Transport (MST) enables "up to four WQXGA (2560 × 1600) displays at 60 Hz with 24 bit/px RGB color" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort).

QUESTION:

... is quite a nice buget board and it does have a DisplayPort, but the specs don't tell which version.
Does anyone have experience with this board, or a suggestion which other board to use that can daisy-chain 4 monitors?

display port version depends on apu used, so yea mainboard wont tell
but it should be dp 1.4 with 6 monitors with mst or 3 monitors without mst

so an AMD Ryzen 3200G, for example, should support HBR3, therefore DP1.3
Some motherboards specify the display port (i have seen 1.2)

Does this mean it will only support 1.2, or is the displayport functionality entirely determined by the APU?

if mainboard specify it is dp 1.2, then it means they cheaped out on wiring to cpu

hehe, since i want to cheap out on most of the setup, i totally get their point.

DP1.2 should still be fine for 4 monitors 1920x1080 at 60hz (https://www.tripplite.com/products/multi-stream-transport-mst-hub-technology)
They do it with a hub on that page, but it should work with a daisy-chain, too, right?

If i want one main display to have a higher resolution, i could still connect it to the HDMI out.
Although, i am not sure that the apu runs the HDMI and 3 daisy-chained monitors on the DP1.2

Only the mobile CPUs of the series support their laptop display and 3 additional ones. It seems that with the 3200G you are stuck with max 3 monitors.

The new 4xxxG with "renoir" on-board graphics support 4 displays, but are a bit more expensive.

There are interesting mini PCs available.
