I have been attempting to back up my entire hard drive to a DVD through the
backup program in Windows XP Home Edition. I have installed the program and
followed the instructions provided by Microsoft however, I am having
problems. I am not given the option of choosing a backup destination and
secondly the default "backup media or the file name" is "not a good path".
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but have you tried using the
regular CD-R to write on?
