[SOLVED] Bad OC causing monitor to lose signal from graphics card ?

So I am not very experienced with Overclocking, I don't even really know the reason why I thought to try it in the first place but I did so here we are. I followed a guide on YouTube to get the general idea and followed it exactly. I have a 7700k and a zotac amp extreme 1070, 16 gbs of ram, and a gigabyte k7 MOBO . Upon following the guide I noticed my second monitor lost connection to my graphics card. I immediately defaulted any changes that I could have done to the gpu and nothing happened. Restarted my pc, same thing. No signal to the second monitor. Unplugged the monitor from the dvi port, and tried again. Nothing. I tried the HDMI port on the monitor and it worked perfectly, and the strange part is, that it was still on the dvi output setting for the monitor. I unplugged the HDMI cable and the screen turned back off saying no signal. I then unplugged my main monitor which is connecting via display port, and the second screen turned on. I took the GPU out, cleared the CMOS and reset the BIOS (which I am pretty sure I did correctly" and slapped it back together only to have the same thing happen. As long as the HDMI and the DVI cables are plugged into the second monitor at the same time, both work like nothing is wrong with either of them. But the minute I unplug the HDMI cable, it says no signal. All from a stupid idea to try and overclock. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

LOL My apologies for confusing haha, was super late and I was kinda frustrated haha. I don't remember of the top of my head what guide it was exactly , when I get home from work today I will find the guide and explain the situation a lot better. The software I used to try and overclock however was Zotacs Firestorm.

Does the monitor auto detect the in put? Try to manually select the input you want.

The monitor does auto select, and I have tried to set the input to DVI , and it still says "no signal" working on uploading a video to link to here to show what me exact problem is, and explain a little better.

Overclocking software was zotacs firestorm, was most likely an older version of it ( I don't know if that makes much of a difference as the latest updated version ).

... I never made it to anything past unlocking the power limit and temp target and putting them as high as they can go, I made no changes to the core clock or the memory clock before my second monitor lost signal.

I followed the exact same tutorial when i overclocked,but i used msi afterburner.
Try reinstalling the GPU drivers with DDU.If it doesnt fix your problem,i'd say that the DVI cable is faulty and you should buy a new one.
