So I made a batch file so that I could lock a folder with some games in it away. I have a few other people that use this machine and a couple kids that like to play on games that I have save progress on and pretty much just ruin everything I was working on. I decided that I would make a batch file that would lock away and hide the games, it worked the first few times but now when I press Y to confirm that I want to lock and hide the folders it just closes the command prompt window and doesn't even give me an error screen, it just decides not to work. I've been surfing around the internet but it seems what I want to ask is bit specific so it's hard to find an article that has an answer for me in it.

Solution
Create separate user accounts for each user. This way game progress will be saved on your account profile and other users will have their progress saved in their profile.
Ah yes - and don't give your account password to kids.
