[citation][nom]Erredent[/nom]I like the DVD-ROM drive tacked on at the end of the requirements... I wonder how many people will actually be buying a hard copy.[/citation]

Already pre-ordered my hard copy at EB Games.

[citation][nom]bender3000[/nom]Actually, I am a PC gamer that refuses to upgrade my 1gb ATI 4950 gfx card, and/or deal with the usual multitude of bugs that accompanies an initial release of a BF title .[/citation]

WTF is an ATi 4950?

[citation][nom]soldier37[/nom]I'll be ready, bulldozer 8 core, 16gb ddr3, 2 x gtx 580s in SLI, 2560 x 1600 res will be kick A**![/citation]

Gonna swap your 2600K for a Bulldozer? Well, let's see if it's worth it...

Are they referring to the 560 or the 560 Ti in the "Recommended" specs?

It's alright... V-Sync off lets me max out Crysis 2 easily, this will be completely playable, and if not, I'll just turn down the shadows or something... I hate shadows...

[citation][nom]haxs101[/nom]6950, damn. Highest specs i've ever seen.Hope my gtx 570 sli will work good lol.[/citation]

Serious Sam BFE has GTX 580/ HD 6970 as recommended.

The two 460's are pretty similar to a 480/580 in horsepower... The question is can the 580 max this game out? I do get 60fps with Crysis maxed out w DX11/HiRezTex... I'm so excited to play this beast of a game! Especially because I won't have to wait six months for it to be optimized for PC like some....OTHER...game...

[citation][nom]philharmonik[/nom]I know there were no other settings. I was just trying to say I was at max resolution. Even with DX11 enhancements,AA, AF , I still have confidence in my current setup. If I can play Crysis 2 with DX11, high res textures and all other graphics settings at max, I think I will be just fine with BF3![/citation]

......Thats at flatout lie. Crysis 2 at max settings 1920x1200 as you stated with a 470 is getting sub 20 fps. If you dont believe me go to HardOCP or Guru3d and look at the benchs yourself. If you feel because you can run settings at max at 10fps and thats good for you .... have fun.

BS. 470 is perfectly capable of ~30 fps in Crysis 2.

Oh and they put games in multiple genres to make the selection look better. They shouldn't have the DLC under the games title b/c that makes it confusing and again, makes the selection appear larger. DLC should show once you've selected a game from the menu. Lots of smoke and mirrors tactics here. Unfortunately, its the only way I will get early access to SW:TOR so I guess I have to suck it up.

Did anybody notice the "GPU (Nvidia): DirectX 10.1 compatible" portion of the system req's? Didn't Nvidia skip this and go straight to DX 11 on their 400 series cards?

Maybe it was a typo and they meant to say DX 10. Who knows, it's possible AMD has some sort of advantage with 10.1. Either Tom's or EA made a BIG BOO BOO when they posted the sys req's.

What the HD6950 is more powerful than the the GTX560. The GTX590 is more like it. This is most likely for high settings to run smoothly. I hear it will work with Eyefinity for Three screens. 1080p on three screens your going to need a beastly setup.

^^They are saying MIN requirements are dx10.1. Ppl with a dx11 card may still be running dx10 with vista or something... it also may be able to swap between 10 and 11 like crysis.

[citation][nom]cats_paw[/nom]Recommended System Requirements:OS: Windows 7 64-bitProcessor: Quad-core CPUMemory: 4 GBHard Drive: 20 GBGPU: DirectX 11 compatible with 1024 MB RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon 6950)Sound Card: DirectX compatibleKeyboard and mouseDVD-ROM driveLets try to think about this.First, they ask for a quad core, and dont even specify speed (so we asume its optimized for 4 cores?! yeah sure...Second, 64 bit system (what is that even better for?)Third, 560 or 6950 (you mean 560 Ti i guess, or did they just randomly chose a good gpu?)That might be fun. If it really needs that much, wow, that would be great assuming they use the engine well.[/citation]

I logged in just to down-vote this. You may be the most ignorant person on the internet. Congratulations.

[citation][nom]joytech22[/nom]Shoot.. All I have is a pair of GTX470's in SLI.They better cope. -.-[/citation]

What are the specs in the rest of your system? That GPU setup should do just fine.

How could I get thumbed down for disliking Origin? I pre-ordered the BF3 Limited Edition on newegg with the $12 discount. I'm not knocking the game. It's going to be awesome. I just wish Origin didn't exist. Sorry if some people don't agree with that. 😛
