[citation][nom]Gulli[/nom]I'm glad I finally see my HD 5870 challenged (by Crysis 2 and BF3).[/citation]

I have a 5870, 6850 and 6990...gotta get a PSU for the 6990...hope it breaks a sweat with BF3:)

[citation][nom]sentinelspark[/nom]What the HD6950 is more powerful than the the GTX560. The GTX590 is more like it.[/citation]
Um, sorry dude, but an HD6950 performs much closer to a GTX560 then a GTX590.

wait... GeForce 8800 GT (8,9 series and some 200 based on the 9 series) isn't DX 10.1, EA said that nVidia users need a DX 10 graphics card, not 10.1.

with AMD, i think they need DX 10.1, no doubt.

[citation][nom]soldier37[/nom]I'll be ready, bulldozer 8 core, 16gb ddr3, 2 x gtx 580s in SLI, 2560 x 1600 res will be kick A**![/citation]

EVGA is just now coming out with an all new revamped GTX 580 line up. 2 sets of cards per category, the 1.5 and 3GB versions. Both with completely redesigned air cooling that would optimize having 3-4 gpus all huggin' up close w/ minimal side effects compared to previous products. They have those air, then again a set with copper 2s with the higher clocks and the 1.5gb or 3gb choices, all the way up to getting dice pots for christ's sake. Sorry christ. And they have their own link for those multi gpu setups similar to EK's choices of parallel or serial flow blocks for sli. Check it out they boast some great clocks and there's only a $10 premium to go with normal 580 with 3GB to same specs with completely re-worked air cooling. its amazing if its all true.

Just built a new rig for this game.

I7 2600k @ 4.5 GHz
Asus 580 GTX Direct CU

Wishing I would have gone with EVGA instead because the Asus uses 3 slots and now I would like to add another 580 in sli. Two Asus 580's will be too tight!

Any reason I couldn't put an Evga 580 in there with an Asus?

I put a PNY 570 (short) with an EVGA 570 (long) in sli. It appeared to work ok. It's not recommended. You really won't know for sure though until you put it in.

I've been playing the beta and I immediately set the gaphics to ultra settings and it played better than I expected, I would guess around 45-60 fps. I have an intel i7 970 3.2 ghz, 10 gb ram, single radeon hd 6970. No overclocking whatsoever. Res was set 1920x1080. I later turned it down from 16xaa to 8x but left hbao on. Looks amazing. Disregard all this garbage about needing dual enthusiast cards. A good single card set up will run this game very well. Provided you aren't running uber resolution multi monitor setup. I'm just playing it on my tv.
