Battlefield 4 Direct X Crash

I really enjoy Battlefield 4, it's an awesome game. I run it on ultra at 1080p without my computer breaking a sweat, but it randomly crashes. I've read about this happening, but I'd really like to know how to fix it, I can only play on some maps, and even then it may still randomly crash. An error opens after it crashes and tells me that there is "not enough memory in your computer and Windows has shut down some memory intensive programs." I am only running Origin and BF4 when I play, so this seems like bull-crap to me. My specs are as follows:

Asus 990fx Sabertooth R2.0
FX 8320 (stock clock)
4gbs of G-Skill Ripjaws (1600MHZ)
120gb Samsung SSD
2gb 270x Sapphire OC Edition (about 1070 MHZ)
This problem is keeping me from playing BF4 without fear of crashing. Thanks for the help!

I second what i7Baby said. BF4 doesn't require 8gb but it sure likes it. Normally my system is using 6GB of RAM so I'd drop a second 4GB of RAM in and see how it goes.

Really? Well I suppose that makes sense. I was actually given the ram for this build so I never bothered to upgrade. I'll probably go ahead and do that upgrade, but it always links the error report to "amd r9-*** series card blah blah". It doesn't let me copy and paste the error report, but essentially it just says a bunch of stuff about my GPU being insufficient , I know for a fact that it is enough to play the game. But I'll go ahead and buy an 8gb stick. Would I be able to run one 8gb stick and a one 4gb stick? And thanks for the help, I was totally lost on this.

Are your AMD Drivers up to date? If so, you could try rolling back to the prior one to see if that helps with stability. However, you really should add a second 4GB RAM.

I'm fairly certain that my drivers are up to date, I'm not sure how to use it, but once a month I open up the Catalyst Controller or what not and check for updates. I'm not sure on how to roll back drivers. Would I be able to plop an 8gb stick in there and also use my current 4gb stick?

It's best to have matching RAM...timings and make....Pick up another 4GB of exact same RAM to avoid issues.

There should be nothing wrong with the GPU. I have the exact same model (albeit I OC'd it a little) and it runs BF at 1080p60 with no drops ever.

I searched for a VERY long time for a fix to this problem.
Basically its NOT the graphic card at all.
I replaced my graphic card with a completely new one of the same model (R9 280X)
I even replaced my RAM just to check if that would work.
The problem is to do with the OS, look IDK why but it is.
I rolled back drivers with no success, I changed hardware with no success.
The problem lies in the OS.
So if you re install Windows 7 (Put old files on a external HDD), then install all old driver as per usual. I GUARANTEE a 100% Fix.

From guys at work I've heard of the OS causing a potential problem. I only own a copy of Win 8, not 7, but if I did I would totally try your solution.

Mate. I did so much testing and literally after I re installed OS no more errors.
I used to crash at least 20+times a day.
And now NEVER and its been like that for over 2 weeks.
Look give it a go, you won't regret it.

It didn't look much like that. It said display driver has stopped responding and has been recovered. Prompted by a DirectX Crash Screen something "DEVICE_HUNG"

bf4 has lots of issues all around and just bad for what I see of it
