Can you imagine the backlash from Americans if there were video games that made the US look evil, twisted, wrong, and an enemy of the world. I can't imagine how Russia and China feel... they've been the generic go-to "enemies" of American targeted FPS games for almost a whole decade now. White American frat boys would go nuts and boycott an FPS game if it wasn't patriotic with American propaganda slogans, stupid generic marine males, and terrible stories that make the character look like Last Action Hero Rambo Marine USA #1.
 
Waoo. Let's go and just make a game about terrorist killing Americans. And since these is the land of the free it cannot be ban. I bet that all the idiots talking shot here are going to be demanding the head of Obama for let something like that happen. Bunch of hipocrites
 
China's people are migrating to my contry all the time. those here are more then welcome to play,Own and enjoy battle field 4 after all Dead Island is alot worse for everyone. off with the head for there can only be one.Buy seriously though government moles dont have the time to play a game so whos missing out really.
 
Actually I'm looking for a battlefield game with a fictional story, where we got a large group "American born citizen" become a terrorist who is out to topple the current USA government, and USA gov is powerless to stop them. The rest of the world come to help save the country.

This is funny and sad at the same time ... but now i sit and wonder what a game where the US is the bad guy and having maps with area 51 and pentagon and shit would look like :) you know.. just like real life ... you see a war on the globe US army is there for sure , the one and only constant in every war around the world. Don`t get mad about this comment, i`m half trolling.
 
As you can see, many people flunked out Social Studies in High School. Dummies, Communism and Socialism are two very different things.
 
No no no that is like 1/4 of the story. There are 47 million people on food stamps in America. How many of those do you think are actually needy and not just milking the system? Jereece and everyone on this side are talking about the deadbeats, not the needy. Sure there are needy people and we should help them but taking someone's money that they EARNED, no matter how wealthy, is wrong. Why is it all of a sudden bad to be a rich person? It's their money they can do whatever they want with it. Obama's policies are mostly impacting the middle class anyways. I'm one of them. When all is said and done, he is going to go down as the worst president in US history.

It's not bad to be a rich person, it is a recognition that fortune is happenstance, and that societies with less unfortunate tend to be better places to live for everyone. Recognizing the causes of misfortune and trying to fix those is better for everyone.

I do not begrudge anyone their salary, but the very concept of "earning" is weird. Someone worked, someone paid, the amount is totally dependent on the circumstances and events of one's life (even the decisions one makes).

As for BF4 being banned in China, even from private use, is just a sad testament to the state of the world, even in a world that is better than it's ever been.
 
I'm done with Battlefield, until they come to their senses and and start relying on Steam for updating/servers/distribution. Dealing with Dice/Origin/EA is just an awful awful experience of frustration and annoyance.

Censorship is alive and well anywhere you go. The methods may be different but the end result is the same.
 
nothing new here!stuff gets banned all the time in IRAN.Max Payne,GTA,Need For Speed Series,Battlefield 3,Spec Ops,Arma 3,Splinter Cell,Assassin's Creed,Manhunt,God of War,Heavy Rain,300 The movie,Youtube,Facebook,Twitter,Skype...reasons?god knows why!some times they ban list is so stupid that it makes my head hurt like NFS series is BANNED!!!WHY?
 
So, game developers have been running plotlines of illegal assassins, corrupt US officials, CIA blackops, dirty cops, and generally the US being the dirtiest and most corrupt country for decades. Nobody noticed or even cared. As soon as they do one about China they go apeshit. Methinks they protest too much.
 
It's funny to read all these argumented posts about socialism in a China that was never socialist, from a obvious US point of view so distorted from what the world really is.

Let me tell you something, Obama in Europe would not be even close to what a real socialist politic is. Let's drone something.

I'm honestly shocked to see it winning so much on an online forum, I'm guessing it must be a lot of non-Americans since it's about politics. That or Christmas has made the intelligent people in such a good mood to venture forth into the cesspits of internet comments!
 
@bochica None of those games were banned country-wide and I honestly can't remember the last game that was actually banned. Looking around one was banned because the model in the game was underage and the game was considering pornography of a minor because of it and that Sonic Blast Man thing is because people got hurt playing it. The Blast Man thing wasn't even that simple, the game was recalled and banned to stop arcades from reselling the game to others since you can't resell recalled items. As for Bully it was never banned anywhere in the US, that asshat Jack Thompson tried to get it banned in Florida but the courts ruled against him and nothing happened. GTA:SA was removed from retailers because for a while it lost it's ESRB rating and the stores policy meant it would not be sold but it was again not banned anywhere. That lawsuit in GTA:SA was again lead by asshat Thompson BTW. Controversy over a game's content and lawsuits are not the same as a banning and being removed from certain stores is nowhere near the same as banning since stores are free to sell what they want.
 
How dare China not bow to American propaganda and accept them as their mentor and saviour?! I am shocked and annoyed. I'll punch a puppy now.
 
It's about time this happened. How many games do we have out there where Americans go out there and fight Chinese, NK and Russian 'evil' and win.

Yep, that's every single CoD game, Battlefield game, Crysis game (before the aliens) hell most western games that attempt any semblance at reality full stop. Can we stop bullying their countries for being different already?

When are we going to be a country where a brave Chinese guy goes and topples an oppressive American thinly veiled democracy for mistakenly drone striking his family, because that seems like a far more interesting, new, and realistic story to me.

Shooters are just getting far too repetitive, they can't even swap around the roles.
 
I am sure if China or any middle east that American hate made a similar game/map will destroy the World Trade Center twin towers and called it Siege of New York. I am 200% sure the democratic US of A government will banned it and use every kind of media to contempt the maker of that game/map. And nobody here will dare to say "It is just a game".

BTW, i am banning EA games as well. (no because of the Chinese vs. USA shit) It is mainly because EA are making some of the buggiest AAA titles. I am refusing to pay to beta test for them.
