Splendid
Seems a self esteem issue... American movies and games have portrayed Russia in a negative light for decades yet, they do not whine about it. Suck it up, nobody is stopping them from producing movies and games that portray the U.S. in a negative light. In which case wouldn't hurt my feelings...

Food for thought - there's not a single country on this planet that holds a monopoly on virtue.

Why USA is always good guys in battlefield ? Why don't they make a game in which China or Russians save world from evil US attacks ? You play as Russian against US invading forces. See what will happen after such a game release. NATA will bomb DICE and EA HQ. On BF3, it was Iran and Russia, now China.. Why do they really want to make story of these countries ? Try making story on their own countries, face few years jail time and give us the awesome game bug free!

So you're only thinking of the single player game, right? Cause you can play both sides in multiplayer. Who would you suggest be the so called Good Guys in this game? Don't forget EA is a US company.

This is pretty stupid. It is a game, not a offense to the Chinese. It seems pretty childish of the Chinese government to take this as something offensive, while this game was made to entertain people.

So you believe socialism and communism are the same thing? It appears Faux News has done its job. :)

Another warning - knock off the political garbage. This isn't a political site. This is a tech forum. All posts not discussing Battlefield 4 have been removed. And any more will be subject to the same consequences.

I live in China and I agree with that the communism is more like a totalitarianism.
And the gap between rich and poor here is really terrible.
And also the government blocked YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, etc...
But I access them using virtual private network.

It's a game about Americans pretending to be Rambo and pretty much pwning the chinese army. Even if it's all fiction, put yourself on their shoes. Imagine a game where you play a member of the Iranian special forces. The U.S. has elected a dictator for a President that wants to destroy Iran for no reason and it is your job to stop it, and in the process you're mega Rambo and you kill about 4000 U.S. soldiers in your adventure which includes arriving in New York City and killing American military there. Yes, I really want to see that game get sold in the U.S. and not have it create a huge media sh!t storm.

As you can see, multiple moderators are watching this thread. We've been deleting the off-topic stuff, and I can assure you that others are more tired of it than I am. If it continues, I suspect some of the more twitchy mods will start fingering their banhammers.

BF4 is a game. Let it go. There are excellent places to discuss politics (and you'll find me there too), but here is not one of them.

Yeah we even have a "News & Leisure" section just for these types of arguments / debates: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/forum-65.html

Take that type of discussion there and keep it off the comments section, OK?

That is a disturbing thought that people could get imprisoned for just only owning a copy of this BF4 never-mind playing it. But I believe its just about unmanageable to enforce this BF4 banishment law. I reckon this law is no more then a political ploy, for western nations on the usage of fiction about China.

One day, the story of Battlefield will come true because sooner or later, it will be only China that's gonna fight war with USA to gain World Dominance. Trust me, Russia is not a threat to USA anymore, it's only China.

Who gives a crap anymore! China bans it and the only people that care are the people in China that can't play it. You guys have blown this way to far out and I'm surprised you guys are still talking about this.
