[citation][nom]thecolorblue[/nom]Who wants to be killed so a new clone of them can live?Your consciousness would cease to exist... another would be created elsewhere.---1) Teleporter maps you "perfectly" and then kills you... disassembling your body2) Teleporter creates a perfect clone somewhere else---Um... no thanks.[/citation]

Excellent point. I think we should stick to Teleporting crap from Amazon, eBay, etc... Sadly though many jobs would be lost immediately.

Anyone here seen the "The Prestige"? They were doing this many years ago...just need Nikola Tesla to show us how...or David Bowie!

For it, in theory, the teleportation device would have to note the matter in every molecule to replicate it on the other end.

Congrats you're the only one on earth who seems to clearly know what is consciousness. Damn those stupid and overpaid scientist, you were there with the ultimate answer but they didn't care... haha

So, consciousness reside in the connectonome, or is it god ultra tech's that doesn't require any explanation ?

[citation][nom]catswold[/nom]What's being transmitted isn't "atoms," it's data, reems and reems of 0's and 1's, so yes it is death and rebirth.[/citation]
The word is "reams," and it refers to quantities of paper, not binary digits.

no one needs to worry about being a guinea pig for this scifi wonder when it comes to trialing human beings... Thats what we have prisoners for.. 😉
