[SOLVED] Beginner build opinion

I dont know if this post is allowed in the system thread, but i was wondering if I could get other peoples opinion on this first build i did.

Initially i just wanted to be able to play games running them smoothly on medium settings but without going over $1000(but if need be i can go maybe a hundred over)
an i plan to either buy a windows activation key from a third party site( i know sounds sketchy) or buy one straight from windows.
i guess what im asking is if someone could (in a sense) Proof-read the components I've selected, now the website says its all compatible ,I've never put a computer together however i could get a friend to help me or i can ask my local best buy if they could go ahead an put it together for me for $40+ dollars.
im entirely new to building computers an knowing what parts to get. im really grateful for anyone's time an especially there patience on the matter.

That build should work well - my only thought is you are pretty CPU heavy so depends on what games / settings / screen resolution you are looking for. You have one of the best gaming cpu's you can get, paired with a last gen low end graphics card - the graphics card is going to limit you in most cases.

What this setup would be very good for is running very fast paced shooters and such at low graphics settings and fairly low resolutions. What type of screen are you going to use? This would work well with a high refresh rate (i.e. 144hz+) 1080p display for example.

If you are hooking up to something slower but higher res (e.g. a 4k TV) then your graphics card is going to be a real limit, especially if you are more interested in playing AAA titles at higher graphics settings (e.g. games like Cyberpunk, Horizon etc). If that is the case then you would be better off putting more money into the graphics card, you could probably drop down to a cheaper B series motherboard and possibly even a Core i3 (or look at a deal on a last gen motherboard / cpu combo) then look at getting a more powerful GPU. The RTX 3050 and RX 6600 cards are both a big jump in graphics performance over the 1650 you are currently looking at (the RX 6600 is probably the best value of the two, as it perform about on par with the much more costly RTX 3060).

The power supply looks like a good option given it's not that expensive - and you will need that kind of power if you want headroom to upgrade your machine in the future.

an ive only gone with the 1650 because at the moment i know graphic cards msrp prices are currently volatile, an i figured that is the cheapest option, however i was also looking at:

Don't bother with the 6500XT, the 1650 Super you are looking at is a better card. You would need to jump up to the RX 6600 for it to be worth the extra.

what too much room being taken up or just possibly better compromises?
only asking because some of the parts dont show up on the site an i dont know if exactly there compatible or not

That warning is just telling you one Sata hard drive port will be turned off when using the M2 slot - you don't have any Sata drives in your build so it's a non-issue (and even if you did want to connect one, e.g. if you wanted an optical you still have 6 Sata ports to play with).

Edit: Looking at the specs of the board it only has 6 Sata ports anyway so I'm not sure what that error is talking about - as you aren't using Sata it's nothing to worry about.

Hope you don't expect much for Ray-tracing games. For regular games or if you play with Ray-tracing turned off. This gonna perform at the level of RTX 3070 for most games.

All high quality components. The PC is good for 5Yrs.

If you can go bit up on Budget I would recommend getting 1TB WD SN570 SSD which will cost you $40 more. You can decide that.

Yes, that sounds sketchy.

If it is significantly less expensive than direct from microsoft, it is suspect.
Ask yourself this question: How are they able to sell it "cheap"?

They are able to sell them cheap because there are hundreds of thousands of unused codes from previous systems that were originally purchased for the full or bulk price. If the OP has any old defunct computers with any windows activation key from windows XP or up it is worth trying to activate windows on the new computer to save any cost.

Hey don't worry purchasing a Windows Key for $20-30 is fine. Under $10 is questionable. But have to consider from where you are purchasing them Kinguin, G2A are fine to purchase from.

Yes under $10 keys are Obviously not Legit. But $20 or $30 Keys are Legit. And have no problem even with the Microsoft Support Team. None had any issue over time of Years.
Every major Tech Youtuber Had discussed their Legitimacy and even have had them in their sponsorship spots for certain period of time. Ad has been discussed on Multiple Tech Forums as well. Windows 10 and now Windows 11 Keys from those Sites work without Fail.

Companies do overbuy windows keys in bulk and need to sell them off to retailers from time to time. A lot of IT departments for large companies sell their old PCs codes after they are surplused to easily recoup costs.

Not all. You just had to read the article to understand that it was not the case with all Licenses. The ones which had that issue had been refunded or replaced and appropriate action has been taken. That hardly made a noticeable remark considering the volume of Legit non Stolen Keys that are being sold.

Yes unless you go in there and purchase a key offered from the seller listing with lowest price and with very few sales or very low rating. Why would anyone do that. The Top 2-3 sellers on Kinguin and G2A are all Legit.

Maybe so, but I would rather buy a game from somehwere I know its legit but on sale like steam or otherwise. A key is only stolen if found to be stolen. How many people are looking into that, what recourse do they actually have if they do? I will never buy software items from G2A or Kinguin. The amount of keys on offer exceeds what is possible to be legitimately obtained and sold for profit at the prices they are being sold for.
