Question best 2in1 under 1000$?

Hello,
I'm planing to buy a convertible in the next 6 months and I would like to know what are the best options under 1000$. Since I have 6 months I can obviously whait for a nice discount.

The laptop will be used for taking notes, word, youtube and other light tasks, so no gaming. I think that a 13-14" would be perfect.
Battery life is kinda important (i would like be able to go through a school day.
The screen and keyboard are not really important.

I don't need explanations about your suggestions, I'm kinda familiar with laptops and hardware in general but before taking something home I would like to be sure to do the best choice for me.

I'd go with a nice higher end Chromebook as long as you don't need anything for Windows specific programs, Samsung makes some nice ones https://www.samsung.com/us/computin...orage--8gb-ram---mercury-gray-xe930qca-k02us/ if you are OK with a 4k display at that size screen, the Plus model is also nice, my daughter uses one and likes it better than any other computer she used including my gaming laptop LOL https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/chromebooks/12-14/samsung-chromebook-plus-xe520qab-k02us/

Your budget is also OK for a Pixelbook but those are almost double the cost, but are very very good devices.

I was considering the yoga c740 or the hp henvy x360. I still have do dig a bit into them to see pros and cons. If I will go for a premium device I was considering a hp elite dragonfly or a specter x360.
I know that those past two are really expensive but there is a shop here that always has some 45-50% discounts on any type of laptop. So I'm expecting to see also those models at almost half the price in the next 6 months.

Do you have any suggestion about similar devices?

I have not used many convertible laptops, and the ones I did use was not very impressed with, considering the cost, but that is for my needs and thoughts about what a laptop should be. I think if you are after a tablet type thing, better to get a tablet and a standard laptop or desktop, will cost less and usually be more reliable.

What exactly do you need Windows for with the use you listed? Office you can get for Android, or use the Google app suite, videos, Youtube, Netflix, notes, etc.. all work great on a Chromebook. Heck, many schools actually provide kids with Chromebooks or list them as very desired to have, a lot of schoolwork is done through google docs (under college level schools that is).

Don't get me wrong I really like chromebooks but I'm physics student and sometimes we use some specific programs that can run just on windows.
The main use would still be taking notes with the pen. The other downside to buy a chromebook is that I can't find any discount (I live in Switzerland). This means that while I can find a good convertible at 50% off I can't find any chromebook even at 10% off.
