Um...you need around $700-800 USD to match, or beat, the PS4. Also you can't take any sidesteps like getting a DVD/CD drive where the PS4 has BluRay. It doesn't matter if you never use BluRay, a DVD/CD drive does not beat a BluRay drive. That alone adds $50 to the cost.

The PS4 has a pretty decent octo-core CPU which is roughly as capable as a CPU that costs $100 more than that terrible dual-core CPU. You aim to beat the PS4, but its internal hardware isn't THAT bad. As with the case, I wouldn't trust any case that costs less than $40-50. Switching your CPU to an octo-core would also require a new motherboard so that adds on to the cost as well.

Overall, that build is very low end by today's standards. You may have a decent GPU but that CPU is going to slow it down so much.

Even though the processor used in ps4 has eight cores, it is weak and similar to an athlon x4 760k, bcoz it is heavily downclocked due to the absence of efficient cooling features. So there is no need to buy an octa core processor like the fx 8350 to beat the ps4. An fx 6300 easily beats the ps4's octa core processor. For a processor similar to that, the X4 760K is a best choice. I've edited the same build uve quoted. Ive put a low latency RAM which will be good for gaming. Ive changed the PSU to a bang for buck one.
