As title says.

Preference for mATX but ATX would work also.

Will be paired with:
Ryzen 5600X
RX 6650 XT
32GB 3600mhz RAM
Corsair ll 120 fans
PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

Any suggestions welcome.

Seems okay. Do you have any specific concerns for any motherboard?
Just PCIe 4.0 and decent supply of fan/rgb headers.

I'm just trying to the get the "best" for the price as the price of AM4 boards are still quite high relative to age- it seems like they still hold considerable value in the second-hand market.

Get an Asrock b550m pro4, it will be great with the 5600x
look in mindfactory.de if you don't find a good price elsewhere

There's a UK retailer selling the board for £94 at the moment, but it will likely be running bios 2.10 and I ended up purchasing a 5600 instead of the 5600x, which requires bios 2.20 at a minimum.

With no flashback button or an older chip to perform the update, it'll be a risky purchase.

All brands have critics. The BIOS can be updated, if necessary.

Several solid choices have been offered. All should meet your basic requirements.

I had it for 3 years and put 3100-3600xt -5900x in it and it continues for another 2 with 5600 without the slightest problem, as for the flash buttons, I don't care at all, I always upgraded through the bios and continue the same.
You don't have any problems with the bios , you put the processor in and it works, then you upgrade to the latest and newest one available.
