Hi,
I have a simple question. Out of these two cards which one would be the better bang for the buck.

1. evga geforce fx 5900 non-ultra - $225
or
2. sapphire 9700 pro oem - $245

Thanks in advance.

heh in your sig it says you already got a 9700pro??

is that true and are you planning on upgrading to a 5900u?

Hi,
No I'm not upgrading buying gifts for christmas and I dont want to go spending to much money. This is for a friend that is still chugging along with a geforce 2 mx 400 card. I just wanted to know which card would have the best bang for the buck. Sure I already have a couple ati cards but im still willing to give nv a chance. Any comments and info will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

He said non ultra.

9700 Pro/9800 would be my choice. Hell a 9600XT/Pro would also be a massive jump from a GF2MX. Make sure the person's mobo can take these cards though.

i see. i thought he said ultra.

you would take a 5900u over 9700p?

hmm..

kool

yeah in that case go for the 9700pro
