I am a physically challenged girl attempting to build a high end gaming/graphics comp for fun (since I am not able to get out much). I am more of an artist than a tech, so I am going to need a little help figuring out what I need to do this. I have been researching what I may need to build it to my standards of performance. This is what I have come up with, so far...
COOLER MASTER HAF X Blue Edition RC-942-KKN3 Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Black Interior and Four Blue LED Fans-1x 140mm rear fan, 1x 200mm top fan, 1x 200mm side fan, and 1x 230mm front fan (I already purchased this, figuring that would be the best place to start.)
I am going to be getting an Ivy Bridge i7 processor (but, I think, I will be waiting for the Extreme Edition to come out before I order it .)
Also on my list to get is :
ASUS Maximus V EXTREME LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series RSC00-80GAD3-US 1200W ATX 12V v2.3 / EPS 12V v2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
Seagate ST310005N1A1AS-RK 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 Desktop Memory Model CMD16GX3M2A2400C10
Pioneer Black 12X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 10X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA Internal BD/DVD/CD Writer BDR-207DBKS
But (not being a tech) I am not sure all of these things are compatible so I thought I should check with those who are less technically challenged how it all sounds.
Also, what graphics card(s) would you suggest and if I have left anything off the list PLEASE let me know.
Oh, and, really, quality is the only issue. I want the highest quality for the fairest price of course but price is not going to be an issue for me. And, also, I do realize being a girl and physically challenged it may sound a little odd that I am trying to build my own computer but a friend of mine challenged me to do it and so I am just trying to live up to the challenge because that's just the kind of girl I am.
