"This 32-inch monitor offers plenty of vertical screen real estate without the need for scrolling and 1440p resolution"

... Wait what? Is the author implying the monitor size in inches has any impact on how much fits on the screen? Because that's solely determined by the resolution. A 16in 1440p monitor displays the same amount of info as a a 32in 1440p monitor, the pixels and thus elements on screen are just proportionately larger (or the ppi is lower) on the 32 in monitor.

Seriously, this is not the sort of amateur mistake a site like this should be making...
The only way this would make sense is if the form factor of that 1440p monitor would be 16:10 instead of 16:9 (which is not the case here).

The 16:10 monitor would have less space as 1440p at that aspect ratio technically means 2304 x 1440 vs 16:9 and 2560 x 1440, but valid point, that does make a difference.

Also, looking at the the original review for that particular monitor, there's this line: "At 32 inches in the 16:9 aspect ratio, you’ll get an immersive effect in the horizontal and vertical planes. While some may prefer a 21:9 ultra-wide, there’s no denying the impact of that extra height."

Yeah, that's honestly valid. I'm guessing one of the two editors credited here is the list guy, whereas the other one actually knows what he's talking about, considering he also wrote that review.
