Tell me which site or forum will provide a fair review of games...

I look for Gamespot and IGN for games review.

If the reviews are good then I go on YOUTUBE and see some gameplay videos (Not trailers or official videos, but the ones uploaded by people who have bought the game).
If I find it good enough for my money then I buy the game 😉

IGN is usually my first choice. Plus, for higher profile games, they sometimes have a review available a few days before the game releases. I also have gamespot and gametrailers bookmarked.

My favorite is http://www.whichgamenext.com since it truly answers the question "Which is the next game worthy to play" by objective reviews and a clean layout.

IGN has been kinda fishy for me lately.

I like 1up.com (formerly home of the now defunct Games for Windows: the official magazine aka:Computer Gaming World) and Giantbomb.com

I almost completely agree with the official review of Civ 5 that 1up has on its website.

I feel like a contrarian on this board on this board, but I dislike Metacritic. It is essentially little more than a bargaining chip for publishers, "make this game have a Metacritic score over 80, and you get a bonus". BS, especially when a lot of the time the website doesn't even represent a game review's score like the reviewer would want it to (eg. B- gets put up as a 75, a 4 out of 5 is shown as an 80) even when the reviewer as been noted to politely ASK for the score to be changed.

Others might be better, but I always gravitate toward IGN since they cover all different media types. And I dig their video reviews.
