Hey,

I was wondering if anyone could give me any HTPC case suggestions.

A little info about what I am looking for if possible.

- A decent amount of room for a heatsink - Want to put an i5 or i7 K series in it so I'd like to overclock but nothing insane.
- suggestions for some I can use an all in one water cooling unit for and suggestions for some that I can do just air cooling

- NOT too thin, but not too big
- Nice looking
- Some suggestions with LCD display and some with not an LCD Display
- Enough room for the following

- 1 Video Card
- 2 hard drives - 1 SSD and 1 HDD
- 2 DVD Burner drives [can live with 1]

I DO know some of these run expensive. That's fine. You can show me $500 - $600 models but as always, cheaper is better.

If anyone can throw any suggestions at me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!! : )

in terms of your situation,i would recommend the coolermaster cosmos 2...if you like the price tag the cosmos 2,than look no further..it can even support the gigabyte g1 assassin!if u change your mind and start looking for the best, than its the caselabs sth10..best tower style chasis ever made for extreme watercooling...well there are much bigger cube style cases..but the best tower style case the sth10....

hope it helps and good luck with your build:)

have you bought that case?
if not,i'd recommend this case..
http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=161&area=en
it doesnt have much airflow, the fans that are attached to it suck, you can re0place them with noctua 80mm fans..
this case is probably the coolest htpc case..i mean a screen that you can use as a monitor!!
as your budget is $600,if you are able to increase the budget a bit,you will get this wonderful case..there is a review of it on toms hw..check it out..

o_O....whoaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!..how much did it cost mate???!!!!

I did two builds for customers using the Lian Li Black Aluminum PC-C60B ATX Media Center / HTPC Case:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112335

It has two 5.25 inch drive bays so it can accomodate two dvd burners.

There is plenty of room for internal drives. I installed a solid state drive and a hard disk drive in each build.

An extra tall tower style cpu heatsink such as the Cooler Master Hyper 212 will not fit. However, in one of the builds there was plenty of room for the Noctua NH-C12P SE14 140mm SSO CPU Cooler that comes with a 140mm fan:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608019

If you are going to use a large power supply you would have to leave out the drive bay module closest to the psu. That still leaves you with two drive bay modules that can accomodate the two dvd burners, two solid state drives, and three hard drives.
