[SOLVED] best motherboard for oc ryzen 5 3400g on a budget

Solution
If you are willing to spend 100$ you might as well just get the latest B550, I saw M Pro4 selling for 95$ not too long ago.
Not only you have PCIe4 , better memory compatibility but in the future if you upgrade to a 5000 series you also get SAM! for higher graphics performance if you one day have a 6000 GPU.

DO NOT DO THAT!!!

the b550 is not out of the box compatible with the 2nd gen ryzen processors (the one that you want)

You'll be needing either; A320, b350,x370,b450,x470 or A520.... the others will not work

As for a specific moddle, i would go with the asus tuf b450 pro or the Asrock b450 Steel legend they both very good for the budget and come with 4 dimm slots for ram and multiple slots for pci-e express along with a safeslot for your gpu

Not compatible with the 2nd gen ryzen processors....

fyi: the vega graphics edition is named one gen ahead... so the 3400g is actually a 2nd gen

As people have said, the 3400G is not compatible with the B550 motherboards but the 3600 is. However, if you do buy the 3600 and a B550, you will also need to buy a GPU as it does not have integrated graphics like the 3400G. The MSI B450 MAX range of motherboards will work with a 3400G straight from the box and some of them are pretty cheap.
