Interesting. This article - https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-pc-cases,4183.html - purports to be for 2024, yet it's actually from 2019.
Be that as it may, in all the case reviews I've seen on Tom's none surpass the CoolerMaster Praetorian I used for my first build. All aluminum to help dissipate heat. 4 external 5" + 2 3.5" bays, not to mention 4 internal 3.5" bays. Power supply on top (remember heat RISES), 4 80mm fans. And the icing on the cake? A REMOVABLE motherboard tray which made installation and modification a breeze. All the gimmicks on the cases shown in the article mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. Wish CoolerMaster still made them.

Don't count on anything on that list as the best! How can somebody else tell you what the best looking case is? That comes down to the person looking at it.

Best all around case to me. EDIT even in that review they say the best for less?

The coolermaster praetorian 731 wouldn't work with the top tier videocards or tower coolers of today, it's just too small -- they wouldn't fit. Similarly, 80mm muffin fans for cooling aren't going to cut it with today's high powered CPUs and GPUs.
I have an old Thermaltake Armor+ and while the removable motherboard tray was a great idea it doesn't work at all w/my thermalright SB-E Archon because the tower cooler is too tall and you can't slide the motherboard tray out.
