As an academic, I doing most of seminars via Zoom. But my portable speaker has too much machine noise. Sometimes it's hard to understand the other person. What will be the best speaker for Zoom seminar? It's critical to understand the other person clearly.

Need a bit more details about what speaker you are using, what model, what are you connecting it to. There should not really be any "machine noise" from the speaker itself, it's more likely you have a bad network connection or the other side does or is using a poor quality microphone.

Could you be a bit more specific or can describe in detail? I've been using JBL Charge 4 and during Covid times it has worked perfectly fine. You might just need to change your speaker to something good as your old one might be over the limit.
