[SOLVED] Best way to encrypt / wipe a Samsung pm961 nvme SSD for resale?

I'm selling my laptop and looking for the most secure steps in order to encrypt / wipe my SSD. I am somewhat a novice at this so detail would be much appreciated.

Also, a question: say I formatted it and then booted the new windows > filled the SSD capacity with 500gb of game files (1GB x 500) > then formatted it again > would this increase the chances of my old original data being completely unrecoverable?

Your plan is good, and there are special ulities like DBAN for that purpose.

Fill the drive, Delete the data, and then run trim.
The drive will 0 out the contents of the cells that used to hold data in preparation for future writes.
