Oh and I have a Dell s2209w @60hz monitor, will I experience bad screen tearing in games if I have over 60 fps without v sync on?

The DS version looks as if it would blow more hot air back in to the case instead of exhausting it through the back of the case because of the open type cooler that it has. Just my view on it...but guess you could check some reviews from web sites.

I will be replacing the 200M on the top of the case with 2 coolermaster R4 green fans, as well as the 2 fans on the H70 with the R4's. I don't really like the corsair fans, they're not that great. I'm keeping the 200m on the front though. Will cooling be a problem?

$189 for case? Much better options out there. I suggest to look further. Take a look at the Cooler Master 922...it has great open room. Damn near a full tower in reality. It has a bulging right panel cable managment so there is no fighting to get your panels back on when cables are routed behind the motherboard. I know it will do the job for cooling. Oh and it's only $99

Also take a look at the Antec 900 Two v3 as it has extended cooling options as well. Its $119

Just saying there is no need to spend $189 on a case when there are cheaper ones that have more options and if it matters to you look better.

why dont you read the forum again i listed my reason. i posted it because the gskill ram is a common favorite and perferred by most people in the forums because of its performance.

fail. they are both 1600mhz

I read your post, "G.Skill ram is the best" - very informative indeed.

I understand they're both 1600Mhz, there's no disputing that.

You need to take into account CL

CORSAIR Vengeance: 8-8-8-24 1.5v

G.Skill X: 9-9-9-24 1.5v

Therefore, Corsair Vengeance ram is faster. There's nothing wrong with Corsair ram, it's reliable and well built.

I'm not having a go at you by any means, just reputing your statement.

Why get 1600mhz anyways? 1333 is just fine and the difference is probably 1-4% that includes the account of timings.

Also, personal opinion, a system for BF3 should be held out till Dice releases specs. Honestly I don't think you should be getting this for BF3 yet when Dice released that the 580 didn't play the demo @ max. (Therefore we can expect very heavy graphical demand on the cards)

oh im sorry i thought i was in another thread where i explained myself.

people always corrected me (when i was new here) that gskill made better ram. i own corsair ram i think it is great but ive been persuaded through many people which i shouldnt have let happened since they do make great products

what does cl mean i know cl9 is supposed to be the most stable

Can you link an article or something because I would be pretty surprised if a 580 couldn't run BF3 at max.

how do we know how many fps it was getting? maybe it was getting something ridiculously high on those lower settings

uh well what else is there out there to be able to run it at the max? the 590 and 6990 are the only things above the 580....unless they are making it to be maxed by an SLI or CF system. I doubt they have a secret squirrel card from Nvidia or AMD that has yet to be released.

^ WHAT! Depending on the price, they are about equal. The CM Silent Pros have been solid PSUs all around. Good reviews, they do live up to the name of "Silent" I can't even hear mines. Great efficiency, they have good reviews. I'd say they are about the same. Not better or worse both choices.

sorry thanks for your input. usually people dont suggest cooler master psu's i thought they were bad
