BIOS flashing

what is the point of flashing a NVIDIA or ATI BIOS??? i thought when you overclock your GPU, you just use rivatuner and then set higher clock rates and then its done.

Some issues can crop up because of the bios, sometimes a flash fixes them.

As for over clocking the reason is simply the max clock limit, voltages, and the like. To get the best over clock often one has to remove the caps on the clocks in bios, and increase the voltage.
