Question Bios trouble could use help

I have updated the bios on my motherboard of an old computer I was going to give away. I used a usb fat 32 but didn’t take the file out of the folder and just extracted it all to the usb. The mother board is a msi z270 pcmate. It update and I don’t see any problems. The ssd sata is dead from before the update so I’m not able to see it function on any operating system but the bios is normal. Should I be concerned I ruined the pc?

If you can still get into BIOS, it's fine.

Agree that booting into BIOS shows it's good but if you want to test it further you could create a bootable linux usb and try with that e.g. https://www.howtogeek.com/1261/create-a-bootable-ubuntu-usb-flash-drive-the-easy-way/
