No, you will need a compatible CPU in order to update.Hello. Could I update a B450M rev 1.x motherboard with, i assume, a lower Bios version than F62 ( needed for my cpu) with my new spec: Ryzen 5 5600? It doesn't have Q-Flash Plus and I'm wondering if i can still boot the BIOS in order to update it from there.

Check the motherboard manufacturer website. It'll list CPU compatibility. Is there a way for me to check the default version of BIOS? At least to know how much lower to go with the other cpu.
Not yet, but i found a friend with 2400G that needs a F1 BIOS AM4. I will plug that then update BIOS to F62 then plug my CPU. I'm sure that solves it. Thank you,I take it all is updated and working?
