Question bios updating questions

So I've been having some instability issues on my computer recently and one of the troubleshooting steps is to update the bios.
Now I am currently using 3000 series AMD processor, if I upgrade to the latest bios update it will have support for 5000 series AMD processors,
will I still be able to boot on a 3000 series CPU? I don't want to brick this computer

But yes...your current CPU will still be usable.
