Question Bios Won't Add SSD To Boot Option

I took out my hard drives (one had windows 10 installed). I installed a new ssd. I tried to install windows 11 with a usb and a key but then i realized the key is an "upgrade", not a fresh install key. I reinstalled several ssds, not sure which one had windows installed.

But now, even though the ssd appear in bios EZ storage list, and in flash mode I can see the storage contents, they will not appear in the boot priority list so I cannot select my windows ssd to boot from. My mobo is MSI MAG Z490 TOMAHAWK. Help?

The "key" you bought sounds shady.

But, you can install Win 11 on the SSD, and apply your existing Win 10 license to the Win 11 install.

Well, I can no longer get past BIOS. Windows usb installer says the key is good but then it says "
This PC doesn't currently meet the minimum system requirements to run Windows 11"

This is why I reinstalled the SSD, so it would recognize Windows 10 and the upgrade key would work. But, again, it won't let me boot from the tb ssd.

You're doing it wrong.

You do the Win 11 install all by itself.
Only one drive connected.
When it asks for the license key, you apply the Win 10 one you already have.

Now...if it fails to install the Win 11, you need to determine exactly why it is saying "doesn't currently meet..."

That is what I tried. I removed all drives, because I wanted to put them in my new PC. I installed a 500GB SSD into this PC. I downloaded the windows install onto a USB and booted from that. That's when I realized the key I bought was for a Windows 11 UPGRADE, not a fresh install key.

Then I reinstalled my 1TB SSD with Windows 10. I figured this would allow the upgrade key to work. But my BIOS won't let me boot from it. I wondered if the drive was damaged or corrupted, so I entered flash bios and I can see the 1TB contents so it isn't corrupted. I just cannot figure out how to force my BIOS to enable my 1TB SSD to boot.

Absolutely incorrect.
There is no "upgrade version", and your Win 10 license was not about to expire.
You got scammed.
