Question need help for what power supply should i use?

what power supply should i use? for amd a8 5500 yes i know its old but that's what i can only buy for now but i also have this power supply from intex (Intex IT-25F2) 600w 20-4 pins and i have a motherboard from gigabyte (GA-F2A55M-DS2) but this motherboard requires 24+8 pins power supply, will my power supply work? or do i have to buy one?

That is a horrible PSU unless you want to ruin everything that it's hooked up to.

I wouldn't call that Intex unit a PSU, more like an expensive paperweight.

If what you're saying is true, then you should invest in a reliably built PSU to protect the rest of your investments.

Where are you located? What is your budget for a PSU purchase? What is your preferred site for your PSU purchase?

Board requires 24pin and the whole 8pin plug for cpu. I don't think you can get away with only four for cpu but any rather halfway decent psu you buy would have the 8pin anyway. Don't attempt to plug only 20pin to 24pin. Seems like a psu from a prebuilt machine with different proprietary atx fittings.

550w is more than enough, well could go lower if igpu is all you're using. Also that Corsair unit provides true 12v 550w max power. If you look at the label on that Intex psu under 12v I'm curious if it says 600w there.
