I'm at a loss here folks,

So I recently installed Windows 11 from a clean install and have had a bizarre issue which is kind of hard to explain, but I'll do my best. When I try out BF2042 my experiences will be stuttery, and lag filled and when using my keyboard and mouse for movement it's like it's got a mind of its very own. If I press the W key once it'll keep moving me forward for three or more seconds despite only pressing it for like a second and it'll then randomly have me move right as if I pressed the D key. Everything in Windows seems slow and laggy when I start up the game, basically, I can't press ESC to go into the menu so I press the Windows key and it won't register the right click at all. I noticed to before upgrading to Windows 11, I was using 10 and for some reason, it would constantly be indicating that I was pressing the up arrow and moving around the UI as if I was controlling it, but I wasn't.

I have tried a different keyboard but I was still getting the same, I just can't figure out what's causing it to be honest. I'm at a loss, anyone has any ideas?

My system for note:
Windows 11
i9 13900KF
32GB DDR5 5600MHz
GeForce RTX 4090.

Keyboard and mouse: make and model information?

Are you able to test another known working keyboard and mouse on your system?

Or test your keyboard and mouse on another known working system?

Determine if the problem stays with computer or follows the keyboard and mouse.

Are the drivers up to date? If so, then try a manual driver download directly from the manufacturers' respective websites. Reinstall and reconfigure. No third party tools or installers.

How did you do the Windows clean install?

Is BF2042 the only game affected? Source? Have you tried reinstalling the game?

Sorry, forgot to mention that.

The keyboard is a Corsair K100 RGB, the mouse is the Razer Basilisk V3. Tried another mouse and was still getting it, also tried another keyboard and was experiencing the same. Starting to think it might be a driver/windows update issue or even an issue with EA Origin, still investigating.

Getting help from a friend now too, so hopefully, I'll find a solution.

Update: Think I solved it, but it's an issue I've never come across. First of all, discovered that Windows 11 had installed some incorrect drivers so had to uninstall a bunch of stuff, and after reinstalling it fixed the stuttering and lagging in Windows 11 when playing games.

Secondly, I'd done a bunch of research and came across a thread warning that Battlefield (in fact EA Origin in general) doesn't play nice with polling rates. Now with my K100 RGB keyboard, I've been using the 4,000 Hz rate so I tried knocking it down to 2,000 Hz and had no issues at all since. I kind of wish I could use the higher rate but at least I can play now.
