Question Black dot on screen

I have a black dot on my screen like a dead pixel but my mouse cursor will go over it. It persist through multiple windows and didn't go away when i restarted my monitor. Not sure what it is or what is causing it but i have also noticed a black square that will sometimes pop up on screen, very small, when i first start up then it goes away after a minute. My Display is a Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ 27" 2k monitor plugged in via display port on a rtx 2080.

Well, i found the problem. Apparently it was steam causing it. Restarted steam and it disappeared
