Question Black Screen On Boot

I recently built a pc whenever I turn it on sometimes it will just boot right into my desktop and other times it will just have a random black screen where I can’t do anything and will have to constantly power it off then back on before it decided to boot into my desktop please help me solve this.


I’m not sure if I have the latest bios but whenever I try to update it i have to reboot to do so and it just gives a black screen

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700
GPU: ZOTAC RTX 2060 AMP
Ram: 16GB Trident Z RGB DDR4
PSU: Corsair CX650M
Motherboard: MSI B450M Pro-M2 Max Micro ATX
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64x

Turn off fast boot and see if that helps.

Also remove any usb items that may be charging at the time of booting.

What drive type do you have your os on, and are there any other drives?

One last thing, in task manager, under start up tab, can you post a pic of it or list what is listed there?

my OS is on my SSD and I have one other 2TB HDD,

I am not saying your start up Is the problem, but those are way too many programs at start up. You should weed out the ones you don't use right away and just keep them on desktop for occasional use. You are starting google, blitz, discord, one drive, spotify, steam, xbox etc all at the same time. That may be causing a log jam at start up.
