Within the last few weeks, my PC has had this issue twice, both while playing Guild Wars 2.
The issue: My screen goes black, the PC is unresponsive to anything I press on the keyboard, but the sound from the game continues to play over my speakers.
I recently replaced my CPU/RAM/Mobo, never had this issue like this before I upgraded those components.
PC specs are:
i5 6600 (have heard Skylake has had issues under heavy loads? GW2 wouldn't push it this far though correct?)
Evga 750 ti SC
2x4GB Ripjaws V DDR4 RAM
ASRock Z170 Pro4S
PSU is a Silverstone somewhere around 500W (don't remember anymore, should be enough to push these components though)
OS is Windows 8.1
What is likely the cause of this issue? Is it hardware related or maybe a Windows issue?
