So it all started a week ago while playing satisfactory my screen went black then crashed to desktop. Then I restarted satisfactory, went fine for 5 minutes then screen wentt to black again, then crashed my entire computer and then it restarted. It did this 2 times twice.

I looked in the event viewer(event 41 kernel power). so I was like PSU must be overheated so I took my computer apart and air dusted it. Then I played a game then a new error appears "event 0 nvlddmkm error" and "event 41 kernel power". Each time I think I fixed it it keeps on crashing. At least it go's black then just crashes to desktop and not crash the whole computer anymore. only crashes under load from Games but not when running benchmarks for some strange reason.

AMD Ryzen 7 3700 factory clock
980ti factory clock 7 years old
16X2 Ram
Asrock X570 phantom gaming 4
850 watt corsair PSU 7 years old
1 ssd
1 M.2
2 HDD

What I tried:
  • messing with power settings
  • Memtest86 scan
  • scannow
  • windows memory checker
  • updated all drivers
  • updated windows
  • DDU Gfx drivers

Solution
7yr. GPU pretty much long life before kicking the bucket. An old PC I had for 8yrs. been through 2 GPUs, before the GPU fried itself and the MB.
Might want to replace both GPU & PSU if you can afford it.

Yeah I’ll do that probably for the best remove all the old components anyway. Thank you
