[citation][nom]Bigmac80[/nom]Don't play MMO's! It'll ruin your life. I've heard of people getting into divorces because of World of Warcraft. When i was playing Wow i use to go to work late because of staying up late from playing Wow. I got fired because of it. Basically i wasted 5 years on playing Wow and what did i get out it? Nothing! Stick to FPS games or anything that doesn't require grinding or weekly raids. Especially if your in High School or College i don't recommend any kind of MMO for you. It'll mess you up.[/citation]

While I get that it's a addictive and fun...really? I've been playing WoW since just before lich king. It has never caused me to miss work, my girlfriend and I are perfectly happy, and my life has not been ruined once. If you're so irresponsible that you can't separate the real world from the game...and I've met a few....don't play. As for the rest of the world, game on.

"We think the new one is very compelling and is going to capture a lot of hearts and minds and will be very successful for us."

STAY AWAY! waisted to much time on wow, no thanks!

Funny, my comment was removed.

was .. quating the part where they say they hope to "capture minds and hearts" and taunting it by saying stuff like .. that im going to stay away from this title as i spent to much time on wow, dont get me wrong, i had fun, but i, as a person, gained about nothing, sure it didnt cost me much, sure, i improved my english some, (my spoken aswell) sure i had good time

but i spent to much of my time on it and to litle on some other things, so yeah, going to stay away, and they should know better then say "capture the minds and hearts of many" its to taunt-able .. dont tell me you dont think of stuff like evil .. when you see that line lolz

and here it is.. restored? bugged out first time? no idea.. question of the day: why oh why is there no ....... remove\edit button.. BLEAH

oh well

MMO's or anything massive online that requires grinding is like a drug. You'll get addicted to it and later on you'll realize how much time you wasted. Plus $15 a month is not worth it.

+1

I agree. MMOs as opposed to other computer games are mostly a waste of time and money. You grind and grind and grind and pay and pay and pay and you end up just getting bored and drifting away with no real sense of accomplishment.

As least with regular gaming I can keep my save files and revisit the game or at least have some record that I invested my time.

Not to mention the rude players, the network problems, the really downright anti-social players.

Well, if you're *afraid* of gaming alone I suppose they have their uses.

The thought of Twitter and/or Facebook-like integration in a MMORPG is kinda scary and weird though...just how much *more* connected do people need to be?? Don't most MMORPGs have instant chat and messaging boards built into them? *mumble* The reign of the sheep herd(s) is rapidly arriving...*mumble-off*

It's an old post, but I aim to restart it!

All you nay sayers are living in a dream world... Even though I agree with all of you about pretty much everything, let's face the cold hard truth, blizzard is GOOD at what they do. WoW has been the biggest success of all time when it came to MMORPG's. Millions of people play WoW and they will continue to. For a lot of people, paying 15 bucks a month, eating hot pockets and cheetos, and working from home is a lot cheaper than even paying for one night of dinner and a movie. Why go to dinner and a movie for 20 bucks, when you can have an entire month's entertainment for 15, even if that means grinding it out for some gear for a while on a friday night.

Yeah WoW has become repetitive, but millions will still play. For a lot of hapless losers it still beats real life, lol.

And if this new MMORPG is even HALF as good as WoW, millions of WoW players AND old WoW players AND new players will flock to it.

Blizzard will create a magnificent game as they always do. It will come out in 5+ years, and the gaming world will drool over it. Stop comparing blizzard to lesser gaming companies. The reason their games are good is that they DO spend a lot of time on them.

Quit your whining about the inevitable. Props to blizzard for raking in millions from the masses. And props to me for quitting WoW, no longer being an addict, choosing life instead, and never looking back, lol.
