My dad's pc was really old, I even intalled an SSD so that it can boot after, but decided to upgrade. So after building his pc for him, I plugged in his SSD and it actually booted into windows and into the desktop. I know there will be driver issues (even though we're using the same GPU as before) like motherboard drivers, ethernet and audio drivers. His SSD doesn't have any valuable data in it, so I was wondering if I could just do a factory reset to remove all the old drivers. Because he would rather not go out of his way to buy a new windows 10 key, so he was the one who suggested doing a factory reset. Can anyone tell me if that would work? Or do I have to perform a clean install and buy a new windows 10 key?
