Borderlands resolution problem

Hi there.

I bought a new monitor about 2 months ago- 22'' 1920x1080. I recently fired up the best game of all times and it was in 1280x1024 (my old monitor's resolution), everything was expected. But the next time I opened the game it was still in 1280x1024 and it reverts to that resolution every time I close BL. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a solution- maybe some notepad file that could be edited or something like that?

Thanks in advance.

Someone made a really handy tool for this a few years ago. Google "Borderlands configuration tool" and check links on borderlands forums for it.

Bascially, you load the game, change at least one key setting and exit the game normally (this creates the settings file). After that, run the config tool, choose your options (it allows things like custom FOV as well, for example) and hit save, and from then it should be fine.

If you'd rather not use a 3rd party program, do the first step, then check in the borderlands folder that the file (it's called config.cfg or something along those lines I believe) is not set to read-only (which would explain why the new setting's not getting saved).

I tried searching online for some config tools, but all have been removed. I believe WillowTree is still available though, will that do?

Also, exactly in which folder do I have to look for the .cfg file because I'm having trouble finding it?
