install of XP goes smoothly, until it trys to boot for the first time, and well, anytime after that. I keep landing at a BSOD with the error UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_DRIVE.
I had faced this problem earlier, and got around it, only to get more errors, an after some research, all signs pointed at the motherboard. Well, after RMAing the motherboard, and hooking up the new one. I recieve the error time after time.
SEtup is
1.7 p4 based Celeron
Gigabyte GA-8VM533(-P)
20 gig Western Digital IDE HD
256 mb of PC-2700
Sony DVD-ROM
in the first mobo to give me this error, i already tried switching out hardrives and RAM, only thing i didn't try was another processor. Same goes for the OS Disk and CD-rom/dvd-rom.
All gear is fresh and new. Anyone got any advice?
